Tasting Spanish extra virgin olive oil supported by Slow Food

On the 9th March our Olive Oil tasting session will be looking at Slow Food movement.

The Spanish Olive Oil School is a proud and active member of Slow Food UK

We have the pleasure to bring Spanish extra virgin olive oil supported by Slow Food Valencia, into the UK for our next tasting session.

We’ll be tasting specific varieties from the Valencia region which you can’t find anywhere else in the UK and are in danger of extinction. These growers put emphasis on quality and soil preservation rather than quantity and keep the varieties alive for future generations to enjoy.

We will taste oils made with the Alfafarenca, Blanqueta, Mancanella and Serrana de Espadan varieties. Have you ever heard of them or seen them in supermarkets or delis in UK by any chance?

We will taste oils from Rontonar, a small producer from Benifallim in Alicante, and Cooperativa Viver based in Alto Palanca, Castellon.
